LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal (LHR) uses pulses of laser light to achieve long-term relief from excessive hair growth.
Because hair removal lasers work when the laser light is absorbed by the pigment at the root of the hair follicle, this procedure works best on dark, coarse hair. LHR targets the hair follicle and not the surrounding skin.
Topical anesthetic cream is frequently used during treatment to minimize discomfort. Initially, three to six treatments are needed to achieve satisfactory hair reduction. The efficacy of hair removal depends upon the skill and expertise of the laser operator. Though LHR does remove the total number of hairs in the treated area, maintenance with periodic touch-up treatments obtains the best long-term results.
It is important to always follow your treatment with SPF.
